Why Alex Does The Cooking...

So... once upon a time I wanted to make some rolls so that Alex and I could have a nice wonderful lunch with the leftover chicken from the previous night's dinner. Well we have the frozen rolls that have to defrost for 3-5 hrs with plastic wrap covering it. So I got up and got the rolls ready around 9am so they would be ready to bake by lunch time. I thought I'd be clever and put the frozen rolls in the oven on "warm". Well... either our oven is just a liar or warm is just to warm because after 20 minutes I went to go check on them and....

Yes, to the right is the plastic wrap that Alex and I had to scrap off the oven and pan and rolls. Well, I'm thinking, it came off pretty easy so I'll just let the rolls rise some more and still cook them. Then I got to looking at them and realized that the oven was so "warm" that they were already baking. So I figured, what the hey, I'll just start cooking them right now. And....

Delicious, right? Um... no. (The one on the top left cracks me up. It looks like a tumor. lol) I put them in for 15 minutes JUST LIKE the package said to and they turned out hard as a rock. (I even picked them up and started dropping them on the counter cuz they serious sounded like rocks hitting it. Alex laughed at me?) Then, silly Malisa realized it said 15 minutes for 12 rolls and I only cooked 6 so I should have halved the time, but me being the smart person that I am.... Well... you get the picture.

Alex told me they tasted fine, and even ate one (what a sweetie) while I was calling myself names in the back of my head for being so dumb. BUT, while Alex was at work, I wanted to prove that I could flaming make frozen rolls and that I wasn't completely retarded. So I threw the old ones away, got out 6 more and did everything perfect! And they ended up like this....

BEAUTIFUL!! In my opinion anyways.

So the moral of the story is, if you ever invite us over for dinner, no fear, I CAN bring the rolls!

The End! =)

La la la...

So I don't have anything absolutely amazing to blog about but I do have some random thoughts on my mind....

1. This girl is amazing to me. I'm pretty much obsessed with her and she is my favorite?

Yes, it's Amanda Seyfried and she is in these amazing movies:

I also love this girl:

I pretty much want to be her best friend. As well as Amanda Seyfried's best friend. Of course not without my already best friends, Stacey Ann Unga, Sister Alicia Marie Crozier and Michelle Briann Sampson. Aka- SAMM.

This man is at work right now and I want him with me baaaad!! I want him at my side 24/7, dang it!

AND... right about now, I miss all these people: (i couldn't find a normal one. whoops.)

Wow.... this whole post was about people. Anyways... That's all I suppose! Peace!

Celebration Dinner/First Date!

As most of you know, Alex got a job as a CNA which is what he's been looking for since about August. He'll be getting paid more than what he is now, plus we'll get benefits which is just plain exciting!! Sooooo... we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate! We went to a place in Ogden called Timbermine. (Alex use to work there before his mission, but I'd never been before.)

The fun thing about our little date was that we pretended like it was our first date with each other. It was exciting! He even when to the front door and rang the door bell, and I let him in and we acted all shy and stuff. Haha... gotta keep it interesting right?! Then the whole time we were asking each other questions like, "whats your favorite color?" and "what do you like to do in your spare time?" and "what kind of music do you like?" In the car we were trying to hint to each other that we wanted to hold hands.... I kept nudging my hand towards his and trying not to make it obvious. It was fun!

(Kiss on the first date! Movin kinda quick, I know! )

In the booths we were sitting in, they even had light dimmers to make it more romantic. I guess that's what they were for anyways. I was kinda surprised.... for being Utah. lol jk. Kinda.

Alex got halibut and I got a yummy juicy steak, with a delicious lime rickey.

Then after dinner Alex decided to take me to meet his parents!!! I was a little nervous! First date and meeting the parents?! Intense! lol (That was just our excuse to bring the YUCKY deep fried mushrooms that were leftover to his mom and step dad. )

After that, we went back to his (our) apartment and he invited me inside! I must say, it ended A LOT different then any other first dates I went on. ;)

ANYWAYS... I love Alex Aaron Nishijima! He is just so fun and amazing! Hopefully someday, he'll ask me to marry him for time and all eternity... someday... ;)

Justa Workin' Out!

Well... trying anyways. =)

So... I haven't put these roller blade on in like 2 years. I thought it would be a piece of cake... I mean, come on.... roller blades??? How hard could it be?? I'll totally have the advantage and be able to keep up with Alex, who was just running.

NOT!!!

Lets just say within the first 30 seconds, Alex was already ahead of me by like 1/4 mile. And.... I gave up. There was no way on earth I would be able to catch up. I think my biggest fear wasn't falling and getting hurt (if you know me, you know how much I love wicked awesome scars) it was just the fear of people seeing me fall. For example, this little car was coming out of Blockbuster and told me to go ahead and cross in front of them.... so I did.... and definitely tripped hard core. It took me like 6 "on the verge of biffing it" steps to catch my balance. I was soooo embarrassed. Especially while I could hear all 6 passengers CRACKING UP LAUGHING INSIDE THE CAR! I thought I was gonna die of embarrassment. I just wanted to disappear. Plus, with my retarded heart, I didn't wanna push myself too much. My chest was killing me and I wasn't sure if it was my heart acting up or just the normal hurt from working out. (How sad is that... I don't even remember what it feels like to work out anymore.) So I made it about another 1/2 mile and then cut through some neighborhoods and went home. I took them off, and was ready to put them on craigslist.

Well, Alex, being the never give up, keep on trying, competitive kind of guy he is gave me this whole speech about not giving up. How I was never gonna learn and never gonna be able to keep up with him if I just gave up. (I was ok with that. I'll be the first to admit that I'm the biggest quitter ever! That's the BIGGEST difference between the two of us.) But then he asked me, "What good is ever gonna come out of quitting?"On the verge of tears, I thought about it for a minute and when nothing clever came out of my mouth, I silently went back to my stinkin lame roller blades, put back on my socks and we were out the door again. THEN he was being so flaming cute the whole time. He was acting like I was 5 and he was trying to teach me.... and I loved it? He was saying, "Good job, babe!" "I'm so proud of you!" "You're the best wife ever!" and when I would jump over a big crack he would say, "haha, woohoo!" or "awesome!". I couldn't help but take it all in and laugh out loud. He even carried me up and down the stairs to our apartment. He is one guy who is just too dang hard to stay mad at. lol. He's such a charmer.

So anywho... It felt good to finally be outside and active again. The weather was perfect and the breeze was great! And it made me realize how blessed I am to have a husband like, Alex. He's just so dang perfect for me! I love you sugar booger button nose!! =)
