Stadium of Fire 2011

So on Saturday the 2nd, Alex and I went to Provo for the Stadium of Fire. We went last year when Carrie Underwood was performing, but this year BRAD PAISLEY was the main attraction. And if any of you know Alex, you'd know that Brad is Alex's man crush. So of course we had to go. ;)

Here's me and Alex waiting for a good parking spot Ü. Ps, I look hot and sweaty basically cuz I WAS hot and sweaty. We had to park and wait in a loooong line cuz the parking lot didn't open their gates till 5 pm so we waited with the car off. It. Was. Hot. But not Arizona hot. If we were in AZ we wouldn't have even been able to sit in an un-started car AT ALL. Anyways...

Once we parked and got inside the gates, Alex of course HAD to buy a Brad Paisley shirt. They had a super cute shirt that I wanted too but I sacrificed and let Alex have one instead. There was NO way I was gonna spend $70 on just 2 shirts.

So after the t-shirt extravaganza, the show started (I basically just skipped like 2 hours. lol)

They had the normal parachuters...

*side note- this poor guy totally biffed the landing and took out a cameraman. it was awesome and sad at the same time. lol

...and dancers....
...and speeches.... that i didn't bother to photograph.

Then the opening act was David Archuleta. I have to admit I only knew 1 of the songs he performed, but it was still awesome. He has an amazing voice and he's just so jolly. lol

THEN it happened. Brad Paisley.

I may or may not have got teary eyed when he walked out on the stage. Don't judge me. I swear ever since I got married I cry sooo easily. Excitement of the whole night + being all warm and fuzzy inside from being so patriotic & American-ish + seeing Alex's cute childish grin when he saw Brad come on stage= teary eyes. It was basically a happiness overload. Then to make it even worse I happen to look a few rows behind us and a couple may or may not have been laughing at me. Ok, they definitely were. And I don't mean giggling lightly. No, I mean hard core about to pee their britches laughing. I felt completely retarded. Seriously. I tried to play it cool and just turn around. That pretty much kept me from crying the rest of the night. Fear of being laughed at again. Ps, I didn't tell Alex I had cried until a couple days later. I was ashamed? lol

I was hoping he'd sing our wedding song "Then" but he didn't. I was kinda not ok about that but I forgave him. Plus, I probably would have bawled my eyes out. And I don't think I would have been able to hide that from Alex and the laughing couple behind us. So I'm kinda thankful he didn't. Ü

He was pretty much amazing.

Then it ended with some amazingly beautiful fireworks. Seriously, they were the best I've ever seen. I'm not posting any pictures tho, cuz I'm pretty sure ya'll know what fireworks look like. Ü

After the show we had about an hour and 20 minutes drive home. Not the best when you're dead tired, but we made it. I LOVE going to the Stadium of Fire. This year was only my 2nd year, but I hope we're able to go lots more. It's soooo worth it.

Ps, Quote of that night:
"Well, Brad, you made my dreams come true." -Alex

Movie Update?

My brother and his fiance were in town this past weekend. Having them here was lots of super fun. And it was the first time Alex got to meet Jimmie's fiance so that was... interesting? Jk, it was awesome and he loved her. EVERYONE loves her. Anyways... on Monday we went and saw, Super 8 with them. I didn't really wanna see that movie when it came out, but we were telling Jimmie and Jill about the D-Box seats that Megaplex has and how awesome they were and Super 8 was the only movie playing with D-Box seating. But I have to say I really did enjoy it more than I thought I would. During the last 30 min, it kinda starting dragging, but it wasn't too bad. Another annoying thing was that the kids in the movie had a little too much sucky language going on. But it was still way funny and suspenseful. If you haven't see it, it's worth it. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. =)

The end!

Ps, Can I just tell you that I'm kinda super upset that the movie, Bad Teacher, is rated R? I really wanted to see it.

FYI

Alex and I rent from the Redbox nearest us just about twice a week. Greatest invention ever. Anyways, this weekend we got Just Go With It. Let me tell you, it's HILARIOUS!! I haven't seen Alex laugh as hard as he did in a looong time. We watched it twice within 24 hours. And I'd watch it everyday just to see Alex laugh like a little school girl. It's awesome? So if you get bored, or want to laugh hysterically, rent it. Ü The End

Experience the awesomeness

Alex and I went to the movies yesterday and saw X-Men: First Class. It was kinda slow but it wasn't too bad. I've never seen the other X-Men movies so Alex said that's probably why it was a little slow for me. But he liked it cuz it gave the background story to the other X-Men movies. So I guess I just gotta see the other ones too. Anyways, whilst walking to our theater we came across this mother:

It was love. I have a weakness for awesome vending machines. Weird, I know. So basically, it's a total rip off for the amount of candy you pay for but it's so cool! It has a touch screen thing on the right where you pay, pick out what candy you want, and how many "scoops" of each kind. Then the candy dispenses and slides down the tube into a little plastic container under the screen. Alex picked chewy runts and I got chewy shockers. We were both pretty amazed. We'll probably never do it again tho because we paid $3 for 2 scoops and the scoops were tiny. Seriously. But it was worth the one time amazement we experienced. So try it sometime. You'll smile.

Then after the movie we had to run to Wal-Mart real quick to grab a couple groceries. Well Alex happened to place his little Asian eyes across THIS. Once again, we were amazed. We bought it. (Perhaps this is why Alex and I are poor. lol). I mean come on...! Why has this not been invented sooner?! It's brilliant. I know they have them in some public places but not really in your home. You know how it is, sometimes after going to the bathroom you just don't wanna touch anything. Or how about after touching raw meat in the kitchen?? Seriously, I wanna go cut up some raw chicken right now just so I can wash my hands. The Aloe Vera & Vitamin E kind smells like heaven. Just sayin. It was only $8, which didn't seem too bad for such awesomeness. I'm not sure how much the refills are tho. I probably should have researched that first before buying. Although knowing us, we probably would have bought it anyways. lol. Go buy it. It'll make you happy too.

So there ya go! The amazing experiences of Alex and Malisa all in a day! =)

I'm not even gonna lie

I was looking online at VS's swimsuits and I want them all. But my total absolute favorite one is this one.

I want it. Yesterday it was on sale for $43, originally $58. Then I looked again today and it's down to $33.99. And guess what... it's calling my name!!

I just don't know what color to pick. I think I like the blue one better but I'm afraid it's gonna be too neon and bright. The pink one is cute too tho.

Plus, I'm probably not gonna be brave enough to wear it in public. Lol. It's too sexy for me. But it's hot and I want it! Anyways.... there's my two cents for the day.

Peace!
