21 Week Update
21 Weeks now!
I officially can't fit into half of my normal clothes which is sometimes quite depressing. I had a cute outfit all planned out for today only to find out when I went to put it on this morning that it was nowhere close to fitting. Then I quickly resorted to another outfit only to be disappointed even more. That then led me to texting my lead at work and telling her I was going to be late because I was having a wardrobe malfunction. Good times. Also, something else new today, I've officially peed myself from sneezing. It was kinda funny and sad at the same time.
This boy moves so much! Not as much during the day, but right around 6pm until I go to bed he's wiiiide awake. Last night I laid in bed with my shirt pulled up and watch my tummy move. He was practicing karate or something. It was amazing to watch.
Symptoms as of late have mostly been headaches and heartburn. I get a headache about every other day and the only thing I can take is Tylenol. I might as well be swallowing Smarties. The heartburn usually doesn't start until about 1 PM and then is off and on the rest of the day. It's the worst heartburn I've ever had in my life. I've noticed that pizza brings it on big time- which is sad to me. I love pizza...
Guess that's all for now!

19 Week Update
19 Weeks! Lets see... Felt the baby kick for the first time on November 10th at 17.5 weeks. I've felt him just about everyday since then. It's awesome. Yesterday I had my targeted ultrasound where we found out that he is a boy for sure. For sure for sure. Lol. As the tech was doing the ultrasound I was thinking to myself, 'Wow... is it kind of early to say he looks like Alex? I swear he has his nose...' After the ultrasound the lady said, "I think it's safe to say he looks like his dad. He has the same square jaw line." I know Alex loved that. Since the day we got married I told myself if we had a boy, I wanted him to look just like Alex. Looks like I just may get that =). But anyways, Jack is 100% healthy... 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 stocky little legs (also like his daddy), brain is perfect (like his mommy... hehe), and 2 kidneys. I absolutely love this little boy sooo much it's ridiculous. April can not come quick enough!
As far as cravings go... the last couple weeks it's been orange soda, cheese itz, Mexican food, and black olives. Sooo yummy. I can honestly say, sadly enough, I'm over my mac n cheese craving. It doesn't even sound good anymore. At all.
I've gotten a headache almost everyday for the last couple weeks, which the dr told me is normal. I get heartburn everyday still, which milk or Tums usually helps with. I have these phases where I sleep really well for a couple days in a row and then really crappy for a couple days. It's fantastic? I think I'm finally starting to look out of the awkward, "Is she fat or pregnant?" stage. I guess it really depends on what I'm wearing but for the most part people have been telling me "You definitely look pregnant" which is of course makes me happy.
All in all, I've had a pretty super easy pregnancy. I've been blessed for sure.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

17 Week Update
I'm pretty sure I skipped a week or two on my little pregnancy updates. My bad? Anyway... I had another ultrasound at 15 weeks and after trying to get a good shot of the little bugger, the doctor finally decided he was 90% sure it's a boy. I'm not even gonna lie, Alex and I were both slightly disappointed. As soon as the doctor walked out, I looked at Alex and said "You gave me a boy!" Lol. Probably not the best thing to say at that moment. But after about an hour, I got over it and got really excited and now we wouldn't have it any other way. I have another ultrasound on the 20th of this month and we should be able to tell 100% what it is. And quite honestly, I think I'd be disappointed all over again if they told me it was a girl. Lol. We'll see though. With as long as it took us to get pregnant, I really am grateful to be pregnant at all... no matter what we have. =)
Still haven't thrown up once during this pregnancy (My sister, Keta, wanted to punch me in the face when I told her that). I was nauseous pretty much all day until about week 8 or 9 and then only nauseous in the morning for 3 minutes until week 16. I haven't felt yucky since then. But other symptoms have taken place now. Heartburn. Holy hannah heartburn. The last week has been torture. It starts at about the same exact time every day... 2pm-3pm ish. And it pretty much lasts the rest of the day especially when I eat something. Tums helps temporarily for about 10 minutes then it starts again. Then a couple days ago I found a miracle. It's called milk. If I drink a small glass when have heartburn, it's gone instantly and doesn't come back until the next day at it's usual time. It's awesome.
Guess what food I'm still not sick of yet... yes that's right... Mac n Cheese. It's like my favorite food ever. I could eat it every day if Alex wouldn't get sick of it. It's my little slice of heaven. Cereal is another thing I've been craving. When Alex tells me I can't make Mac n Cheese, I break out a bowl of cereal. I've always loved cereal but it's like 600% better now that I'm pregnant. Idk exactly why.
My tummy has been really ichy lately. I guess from the growing? Alex still puts strech mark cream on me almost every night, which I love. I've gained about 10lbs so far. I'm not sure if that's good bad or ugly, but I'm sure they'll let me know at my next appointment. Lol
Last major symptom as of late is being extremely tired. Up until about a week ago, I slept awesomely. But lately I've been tossing and turning and just been really uncomfortable while sleeping. Therefore resulting in why I'm so tired during the day. I wish I could just sleep all day long. I swear my eyelids feel like they weigh 12lbs each. It sucks. Any remedies to help me sleep better??
Have a good weekend!! Yay for Friday!!
Ps, on a random note, the high here has been someone in the upper 30's today and it's been snowing off and on all day. I'm excited to cuddle up to Alex tonight and chill alllll weekend in this chilly weather. =)

Best Weekend Ever
This past weekend was the laziest weekend of my life... and it was fantastic. It was so well needed and fun. Alex was off this weekend so we just hung out together. It was a blast. And don't worry, we took absolutely no pictures because I'm awesome like that and suck at picture taking. Deal with it. So anyways... it went a little something like this:
Saturday-
* Alex sneezed 3 flaming times in a row at 5:30am resulting in us both being wide awake.
* Decided to go to breakfast and left at about 6:15am.
* Brough his mom a scone from breakfast.
* Went home, took pebbles on a walk at 9:20am-ish. There is a little farm on the trail we walk and they had baby goats. I was petting them through the fence and one of them wouldn't stop biting the crap out of my finger. But is was adorable and I loved it. They melted my heart a little bit. I could have stayed there for hours.
* Pulled out the hide-a-bed and watched a couple episodes of Fringe.
* 11:30am, nap time for Malisa.
* Woke up 12:30pm-ish, watched some Grimm episodes.
* At this point I kind of lost track of time and what we did. Just more eating, watching our shows, and slowly but surely turning our house into a pigsty. Seriously, the only chore we did all weekend was the dishes and that was because we ran out of cups and silverware. Awesome.
* At 5:00pm-ish we went and got me a new cell phone.
* Went to Deseret Book.
* Went home and made Velveeta Shells and Cheese for dinner. Mmmm... mac n cheese..
* Watched more Fringe and played with my new phone.
* Went to bed.
Sunday-
* Malisa slept in. Alex played his PS3.
* Church at 11:00am
* More tv. (Yes, hide-a-bed is still out at this point.)
* Dinner at grandma and grandpa Nish's at 4pm.
* Home at 7:30pm. Got a blessing from Alex. (I asked him to give me one at the beginning of each trimester.)
* Watched Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time.
* Ate more food and finally did the dishes.
* 10:15pm Facetimed with my brother and parents and dogs.
* Went to Bed.
Seriously, I might have felt bad about this lazy unproductive weekend in the past but honestly, we NEVER do that and it was just so nice. Plus we won't be able to do that anymore come April so we have to take advantage of it now =). Goooood times.
PS, we took family pictures last Sunday and I'll be able to post some of those soon.
PS again, my appointment is Wednesday and I'm sooo excited!

14 Weeks!
14 weeks! I can’t
believe I’m already 14 weeks. It’s
somewhat crazy. We find out next week on
my 15 week mark if we’re having our Jack or Alice. We’re both so excited. As far as pregnancy updates goes, I still haven’t been real
sick. I’m only sick right when I wake up
(I think that’s due to being starving in the morning) and then I’m still a
little nauseous after I eat but only for about 2 minutes. I’ve been like that
for about 3 weeks now. I haven’t been
able to sleep on my tummy for about a week now. That’s been kind of hard because I’m a tummy
sleeper 90% of the time usually. So I’ve
learn very quickly how to sleep on my side 100% of the time. I prefer my right side over my left. Not quite sure why. Lol. I’m going to need a
body pillow soon because my tummy kind of floats in the air when I’m on my side
and it’s not very comfortable. I need
more support now for sure. I still feel
like I’m at the awkward “Is she pregnant or did she eat too many burritos for
dinner?” phase. But Alex tells me I definitely
look pregnant not just fat. Lol. He’s
probably just being nice though so I’ll stop worrying about it. Alex is still amazing to me.
He’s very understanding and helps a ton around the house. It’s awesome.
That's all for now!
Peace!

Pregnancy
Here are some things that describe my life lately...
* I've never had to pee in the middle of the night ever in my life. Now it's like a nightly ritual. Sometimes I even try to talk myself out of it and go back to sleep, but it doesn't work. Ever.
* Mac & Cheese always sounds good. I'll never turn it down. Crap... now I want some.
* I'm pretty sure I can't listen to any slow song without getting slightly emotional. Especially Brad Paisley. That man pulls at every heart string I have. And it's enough to make me have to quit singing along because I'm crying and can't catch my breath. It's ridic.
* I've never burped so much in my entire life as I have in the last 6 weeks. It's gross. And so unladylike. Sorry Alex.
* Sometimes I like to wear maternity garments in front of Alex while singing, "I'm sexy and I know it." Cuz it's sexy.... and I know it.
* I have to eat about 16 meals a day. Ok, not really, but it feels like it. I get hungry like every 1 1/2. It's somewhat annoying, but it's all for a good cause.
* Alex and I both call the baby "she". I'm not sure if it's the "motherly intuition" that people speak of having or if it's just me wanting a girl so bad that I just pretend that I know it is one. Either way... SHE's gonna be the cutest little girl ever.
* I've never been so grateful for the weekends in my life. But they are now my heaven. I LOVE sleeping in and not having to work. Walking around the house looking like crap and watching 48 Hours all day is bliss.
* I haven't thrown up this entire pregnancy, but smells make me gag about 20 times a day. Especially food smells after just eating. Even if it's what I just ate, if I'm full and look at it again or smell it I have to leave the room. Even if it was flaming delicious. I also have a bottle of perfume that I can't wear anymore. I'll probably end up giving it to the sister I see next which is Keta. Sorry Randa. But in all fairness, Keta gave me a bottle of perfume from when she was pregnant, so I'm just returning the favor.
* Alex has been amazing. He's doing alllll the research and making sure I'm keeping the baby and myself healthy. He tells me what I need to be doing and what I need to be staying away from. He's spoiling me with french fries when I need them, and Blizzards from Dairy Queen, and foot rubs when I ask for them. He tells me all the time, "You're not fat, you're beautiful." (Cuz he read in a book that he's suppose to tell me that. lol). I absolutely love it. I have the best man ever.
