Chili's

Yesterday Jack and I had lunch with my mother in law at Chili's.  As we were eating, this man walked by our booth and looked at Jack and me and said, "I'm sorry, but I just have to say that he is the most BEAUTIFUL baby!" 

Why yes sir... yes he is.  =)

Father's Day

Busy Busy

Holy cow, I cannot believe how busy our lives have been lately.  I feel like time is just going by so quickly.  I would not recommend moving with a newborn to anyone.  EVER. Lol.  Alex and I still have a couple boxes we haven't unpacked yet and both our cars are still a mess from moving.   But with both of us working full time and a baby that wants to be held 24/7, it's difficult to get anything done.  BUT Jack is pretty much the best thing to happen to either of us, so living with a couple unpacked boxes is easily do-able.

We finally set a date to bless Jack.  My parents will be coming up for that so I'm super excited.  I'm glad my dad will finally get to meet him.  It's about time he meet his CUTEST grandson.  ;)

Yesterday, Jack turned 2 months old and had his 2 month appointment.  Alex was able to switch his days off and take him so I didn't have to take off work.  Not to mention, I didn't want to be there to hear my baby scream from getting his shots.  No thanks.  I called Alex a couple hours after they got home and all I could hear was Jack screaming in the background. Luckily it was towards the end of the day and I was able to take off 20 minutes early and go get him some Tylenol.  As soon as I got some Tylenol down him and some milk he passed out on me for hours!  Poor baby.  Made me sad.

So, Alex did the Dirty Dash 5k on Saturday with some co-workers.  Jack and I went to support him.  I thought I'd be able to walk around with Jack, go find shade if I needed to, or whatever.  Little did I know, I'd sitting 6 rows up on the hard bleachers watching EVERYONE'S bags.  SO Jack and I sat there for 2 hours straight because little ol me wasn't able to carry 6 bags as well as Jack and a diaper bag.  Good times. So I just sat there and tried to keep him fed and happy.  He actually did really well and slept most of the time while I held a blanket over him so he didn't get sunburned.  Needless to say, half of MY body got sunburned and so now, half of my body is more tan than the other.  Seriously.  My left arm is tan and my right arm is white.  Which is a funny sight while I'm sitting here typing.  Oh also, my bum was bruised the next day from sitting in one spot for so long.  Lol.  Yes yes.

Other than being busy and awesome nothing much has changed with us.  Just lovin our little boy and lovin life!  Enjoy the picture of our perfect little babe!

Back to Work

I've been back at work for a week now.  It's honestly not as horrible as I thought it would be, but it's definitely no fun. I miss Jack a whole lot.  By the end of the day, I'm ready to go home and see him.  He's getting to be so fun.  He smiles a lot more now and just keeps getting cuter and cuter, I can't hardly stand it.  We're both so obsessed with this little boy of ours.  =)

1st Mother's Day / Jack's 1 Month Birthday

This past Sunday was my first Mother's Day as well as Jack's 1 month birthday. He is the cutest thing alive.  I can't get enough of him.  So grateful that this little bugger made me a momma.  Love him to death.  I can't believe it's been over a month now since he was born.  Time goes by way too quick.  He's already grown out of some of his newborn clothes and it terrifies me. Stop growing, Jack!

2 Weeks Old

We just had Jack's 2 week appointment today.  He now weighs 7lbs 8.5oz and is 20 inches long.  He has a hard time sleeping in his own bed and wakes up after just 30 minutes of being there.  But if I let him sleep on my chest, he'll sleep for a good 2 or 3 hours. Not ideal, but I'll take it.  He loves being on his side and will roll onto it automatically if we lay him in our bed.  He has his infamous "OH" face that he makes when he is starting to wake up.  It's my favorite.  He smiles occasionally but mostly in his sleep, but it's still oh so cute.  He hates having his arms tucked in when we swaddle him.  He fights and fights until he gets his arms free.  He use to scream sooo bad when we changed his diapers but I think he's getting more use to it now.  He has breast feed fine from the beginning but would just fall asleep quickly while he ate.  Now he's staying awake longer and is therefore eating and sleeping better.  He's been kind of fussing these last couple of days, but we think it's just gas and have been giving him gas drops.  It seems to be doing the trick... temporarily. Lol.

I can't get enough of him.  I constantly kiss his cheeks, nose, and lips.  I can't help myself.  Alex's dad thinks I'm "sucking the life out of him". Lol oh well.   I'm going to do it until he gets old enough and it embarrasses him... and I'm probably gonna do it even then.  ;)

Alex loves his little boy.  He reads to him and talks to him all the time.  It's adorable.  He has been such an amazing help.  I can honestly say that he has changed more dirty diapers than I have... it's great.  He is just the best and you can tell he loves Jack sooo much.

Pebbles doesn't really know what to think.  She is not use to not being on the bed or couch with us as much as she was before and is desperate for attention.  But she is still a good girl and is just curious.  We let her sniff Jack and see him but that's it... obviously.  I can't wait till they can play together.

We have a great life.  =)
