My birthday/birthday weekend

I realized my birthday was on the 4th and I'm just now getting around to this. Sorry?

The morning of my bday we went to Alex's dad's house where my MIL made me some homemade buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. So super good! After that we hung out a bit and then me, alex, my SIL, and BIL went to Boondocks to play for a bit. I'm super cool, I know. =)

My bffs, Stacey and Michelle drove up from AZ to hang out with me for a couple days. After they arrived, we went out to my favorite pizza place here called The Pie. It's oh so good.

Then we went back to Alex's dad's and played some Kinect on the XBox. It was preeeetty entertaining.

Instead of a birthday cake I wanted eclairs. My MIL makes the best homemade ones. She's the greatest cook I've ever known.

The following day us 3 girls, my MIL, and some of her family took the TRAX all the way down to SLC where we went shopping at The Gateway. I had some birthday money to spend ;). It felt AMAZING to have some "fun" cash in my wallet and get to spend it on ME. Not bills or groceries but just ME. Needless to say, I spend everything down to the last penny. BUT, I DID buy Alex one shirt as well just cuz I felt semi bad. Lol

We got back and of course had to take some jumping pictures. I was just gonna post 1 or 2 but seriously, look at these.... MICHELLE NEEDS HELP. She has a little trouble with the "1..2..3.. JUMP!" concept. And for some odd reason, looking at her feet whilst jumping was another issue.

The next day, Saturday, we made a slip n slide in my backyard. Alex was at work so we couldn't get a decent photo of the 3 of us, so these will have to do. Ps, I was told by a certain someone that making a slip n slid was such a "Mormon" thing to do. LOL! I was unaware of that, but hey I AM Mormon, so whatev! lol

After I stood up from the towel I discovered this:
It made me giggle so of course I had to take a picture.

Then.... We got a video to prove how cool we really are. Yeah, don't hate.

Michelle and Stacey went home the following day. It was sad but I'm sooo super grateful that I was able to spend my birthday with my besties and of course my family. Alicia, the missing link to our bff-ness, comes home in October from her mission. I can't believe it's almost been 18 months. Cant wait for SAMM to be back together again. =)
