Christmas and New Years

Is it just me or is it really difficult to think of titles for new posts?? Anyways...

So... Christmas was great this year. Alex and I were both very spoiled (blessed) and Santa was waaay too kind to us. I could have swore we were both going to get coal in our stockings. But no coal for us... just lots and lots of goodies. =)

I'm not going to go over everything I received but I did just have to brag on my man a little bit. I 'hinted' a couple weeks before Christmas that I thought these thermal pajamas were ohhh so cute!! Then, a couple days before the big day Alex had a gift for me that he made me open (yes MADE. He's horrible with surprises. Receiving or giving. lol) because he said I NEEDED it for Christmas day. Anyways... lo and behold, it was the pajamas that I so awesomely hinted about. He's so smart!! ;)

THEN a couple days AFTER Christmas (due to Alex's lack of order gifts on time. lol) I got to open this gift. Viking sweat pants!! They are so soft and warm and comfy! I love em!

Reflection time:
This past year has been ANYTHING but easy. Oh dearly beloved, not easy at all. But I am married to the most amazing person ever. He helps me want to be better. He makes me feel like a million bucks. He helps me see past the negative and make positive of everything. We've both been dumb and made mistakes but we're closer because of it. 2011 may have been lame, but 2012 is going to be amazing. =) I love that man of mine.

New Years Resolution:
Besides some personal ones that Alex and I have made together, I've made one MAJOR one for myself. Ready for this... I'm going to give up fast food. Crazy right?! It's not even that I'm obsessed with it, but I just wanna see if I can do it. Just the thought of fast food makes me sick lately (no I'm not pregnant). Seriously, sick. So yeah... I'm gonna do it. I don't know how long it's gonna last but we'll see. I've still be soda free since August 1st. So.... here's to eating better!!

Anyways... Happy new year!!! I hope 2012 is even better than 2011 for you all!

Peace!

Christmas Time!!

I realize my blog has been pretty boring lately, since I have no pictures to post. Sorry? But I just wanted to say Yay for Christmas!! I seriously cannot believe it's this time of year already. That's just crazy crap! But here it is, so YAY! I love Christmas time. Everything about it is just so magical and amazing. It's definitely what I wait all year for. We're in Utah this year for the holidays since we were in Arizona last year. Sad part is, we totally have no snow and it's not gonna snow anytime soon. So no white Christmas for us. It'll be more like an AZ Christmas! lol. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing though. Hopefully it won't make me more homesick than I already get during this time of year. Please pray for me? lol. Anyways...

Merry Christmas to you all! I hope you were all on the nice list this year and that Santa brings you lots and lots of goodies. I know I was good this year... mostly. ;)

Peace! Ü

Random Catch-Up

Hey all!

I haven't blogged in awhile so I thought I'd catch you up on our crazy lives.

I've been working full time for about 3 weeks now. And I gotta tell ya, I'm liking my job more and more everyday. I work with some amazing people and I've made some great friends. A group of us from work went to a Utah Grizzly's game last week and it was a blast! I was just about the only sober one there, which made it even more entertaining. Lol. Also, a small group of girls from work had a little Christnas gathering a couple weeks ago where we drew names and brought yummy treats. This holiday season has been great for me. This time last year I wasn't feeling so warm and fuzzy inside but let me tell ya, things are looking up. I feel super blessed to be where I am right now.

Alex is just as awesome as ever. Working part time and just finished up this semester of school. Hopefully he'll be full time as of the beginning of next year. His birthday was just this past Saturday and he was one spoiled guy by everyone in his family. He's very loved and he knows it =). We went to see Mission Impossible on IMAX as well as some shopping to spend his birthday cash, followed by dinner at Cafe Rio. Sunday we had his bday dinner with some of his family. =)

I suppose that's it for now!

Oh ps, I got this idea from a friend's blog, but have you ever 'Google Imaged' your name? Well after entering my first and last name it was followed with 3 pictures of us on our wedding day but besides those.... It's just a bunch of random Asians. Lol.

Pros & Cons of this Weekend...

Cons:

Bad hair day Sunday. I was sooooo fed up with my hair this morning. It actually got to the point where I yelled to Alex down the stairs, "Alex! I'm not going to church today! I'm not kidding." To which his response was coming upstairs and trying to cheer me up with some inappropriate comments that I can't repeat on here due to the fact that our mothers read this. Which at the time wasn't funny AT ALL, but HILARIOUS now. Anyways, he ended up giving me some hair advise and went on his way. Pretty sad when you have to take hair advice from your husband.

Remembering that I'm out of body wash AFTER I've already gotten in the shower. Therefore resulting in smelling like a man for the rest of the day because I had to use Alex's Old Spice body wash.

Having a headache that doesn't go away after a nap. Usually, I can take some ibuprofen and it's gone. If that doesn't work then I nap. If that doesn't work... well then I just blog about it.

Having my hubby sick. He didn't get sick until Friday afternoon-ish. But when he did, he was all whiny and wanted to be taken care of, and I was a punk to him. But luckily, I caught myself and apologize with a "Sorry baby" and a back rub. ;)

Pros:

Having the cashier at the store see my ring while I was signing my receipt and say, "Oh my goodness, that's such a pretty diamond!" Why thank you ma'am! I think so too! I just have to add that after I told her thank you she looked outside and I guess noticed I was alone and said, "You be safe out there." It kinda made me day. I love sweet old ladies.

Having our primary kids remember a specific lesson we gave to them 2 years ago that I didn't even remember until one of our little girls recalled it out loud. Small as it might seem, it was super special for me. Sometimes I think we teach them and it goes in one ear and out the other. I was glad to know that sometimes it doesn't.

Watching 'Music and Lyrics' two days in a row. Good good times. It made me fall in love with Hugh Grant all over again. I kinda have a love/hate relationship with him. He's so conceited and cocky, but so charming he makes me wanna kiss him! Ps, Yes I know he's pretty much old enough to be my father. But anyone who has known me since I was 8, knows I have a thing for older men. Alan Jackson, Johnny Depp, David Bowie, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins... you get the picture. I very rarely like celebrities my own age. It kinda freaks my husband out. Ps again, I'm kinda embarrassed that I actually admitted to having a crush on David Bowie. Dang it, Labyrinth.

Having a little Christmas party with some girlies from work. And them complimenting me on my meatballs. I was pretty proud and glad they turned out since it was my first time making them. I've made some awesome friends at my work. I'm very blessed. =)

Calling my sister and parents yesterday. It was my sister's 30 birthday as well as my parents 36 wedding anniversary. That's a loooong time, eh? My mom was 16 and my dad was 17 when they got married. I mean, I was only 19, but that's not as bad as 16 right? lol. I remember the day I turned 16 thinking, "Dang, my mom got married at the age I'm at now?! Weird!" But hey, whatever works!

Have a good week, ya'll!

Merry CHRISTMAS!! ;)

Thanksgiving and Stuff

I'm not gonna get too much in detail about Thanksgiving. Not because I don't like it but because everyone and their mom is blogging about their Thanksgiving, which is fine, but mine's exactly the same. Basically. Lots of family and food...

Thanksgiving Day I went with my mother in law to her parents to hang out and eat with her family, while Alex and his dad stayed home with his cousin to visit his Grandma and Grandpa. Friday, we had a 2nd Thanksgiving feast with Alex's dad's side of the family. After we ate, we watched home videos ranging from when Alex was age 3ish to 7ish. It was the first time I'd ever seen home videos from his childhood. And Oh. My. Goodness. I actually looked at Alex's dad and said, "You make some dang cute babies!" Somewhat awkward for someone to say to their father in law, but I couldn't help it. In the car when we were driving home I told Alex, "I don't even want a baby from me and you (no, we're not trying)... I just want another Alex!" I was only a little kidding. That boosted his self esteem (ego) like 38x more than it already was. Imagine that! =) Love that husband of mine. Probably (most definitely) too much.

O' Christmas Tree?
Yes, While Alex was at work on Saturday I put up our Christmas tree and our 1 stocking and wrapped the present I already have for him. And yes, Alex and I share a stocking. Sad part is, that's actually the one I had before I was married. My dad just got a sharpie and added, "& Alex" after my name and gave it to me when I moved out. Lol. Cuz that's how we roll.

Ps, The playlist I made that you should hear playing is a compilation of my most favoritest Christmas songs ever. My #1 fav is The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth by Bing Crosby and David Bowie. I love Christmas. Like, LOVE Christmas. BEST time of the year. Whooohoo!

Ps again, Pebbles waits for me to get out of the shower. That's love and commitment right there.
